This challenging project on a very tight site along heavily travelled D.W. Highway required Bauen to keep the fire department fully operational during both the addition and renovation phases of the project.

Incorporating the original flat roofed station building into current and aesthetic standards were some of the issues which had to be addressed during the planning and design phases.

The new building includes new dormitory and day room facilities, an administrative and training wing, significantly expanded apparatus areas with a state of the art exhaust removal system, and display areas for the departments antique hand tub and Model A fire apparatus.
