K. A. Brett Elementary School
Addition & Renovations

Additions to the K. A. Brett School include nine classrooms, a gymnasium, locker rooms, and a stage that doubles as a music room. By using a folding acoustical wall, the stage can be used as a music room when the gym is also in full use. The gymnasium utilizes a cushioned-maple flooring system, which is designed to provide extra shock absorbency for its users. State-of-the-art power-assisted bleachers, along with six backstops and a divider-curtain, round out the gymnasium features.
A new boiler plant and electrical entrance were part of the renovations. Life safety code upgrades to doors, hardware, exits, and firewalls helped bring the existing building up to current standards.
