Huggins Hospital
Medical Arts Center
The Medical Arts Center was completed in 1992. The 35,000 square foot addition is structural steel with a metal stud and brick wall system. The floor is pre-cast concrete plank with
concrete topping.
To accommodate for this addition, the hospital infrastructure had to be upgraded. A new 8 water main, along with new electrical service, had to be extended to the addition.
The main level has 21,000 square feet of office suites, restrooms, waiting area, and education center. The education center is used by hospital staff, as well as the Wolfeboro community.
Office suites range from 750 square feet to 2,300 square feet.
Ground access to the lower level allowed for courier and maintenance vehicles to be stored inside. Central Sterile and Supply was relocated to the lower level during the Day Surgery addition and renovations.
